Showcase Your Garden for 2027

For nearly twenty years, we have invited neighbors into North Santa Ana to celebrate horticulture, history, and our unique community charm. As we look ahead to our 20th Anniversary on Saturday, May 8, 2027, we are seeking 9 to 10 inspiring spaces to feature on our tour.

Most of us on the Open Garden Day committee have showcased our own homes on the tour, so we know exactly what it is like! It is a truly rewarding experience filled with visitors raving about your hard work, opportunities to connect with fellow garden enthusiasts, and the joy of knowing you are helping our community.

Why Open Your Garden?

  • Make an Impact: Open Garden Day is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The proceeds generated by guests touring your yard directly fund environmental education and local projects, such as the Santiago School STEAM Garden.
  • The Perks: As a thank you, homeowners receive a $150 stipend and an exclusive invitation to our Friday evening Pre-Tour and Appreciation Party. You get to preview the other gardens on the tour and celebrate with your fellow hosts!
  • A Day of Art and Music: Enjoy the atmosphere as "en plein air" artists paint directly in your garden, and student musicians provide soothing background music.

What We Are Looking For

We do not require perfectly manicured estates. We are looking for diverse gardens that show pride of ownership, character, and uniqueness.

  • Multi-Dimensional Spaces: We love spaces that offer inspiration, whether that involves unique hardscaping, drought-tolerant design, tropical themes, or incredible entertaining areas.
  • Tidy and Colorful: Gardens should be neat and welcoming. Last-minute staging, like setting an outdoor dining table or fluffing patio pillows, is highly encouraged!

How We Support You

We make hosting as stress-free as possible.

  • Dedicated Docents: We assign at least four trained docents to your home for the day (two per shift). They manage guest safety, protect your property, and answer general attendee questions so you can simply enjoy the day.
  • Clear Communication: Homeowners are asked to attend a brief preparatory meeting in mid-March so you know exactly what to expect. We also help you write a short description of your garden for our official commemorative Garden Guide.
This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
Do you live in Floral Park, West Floral Park, Fisher Park, or Morrison Park? Please complete the form below to submit your garden for consideration. Our selection committee will review all submissions and reach out later this year as we begin curating the 2027 route!

NOTE: We are no longer accepting new vendor interest submissions for 2023, so the form has been disabled. We will bring it back for our 2024 once event planning has begun in January.

To view our vendors, please visit our Digital Guide.

As we get closer to the event, we plan to add more information about vendors in this space.

This year, we’re approaching the Garden Bazaar very differently. Due to the pandemic, the city of Santa Ana was not allowing us to close down the street for the Westwood Promenade when starting planning for the year. Instead, we will spread out vendors to be in driveways that will be adjacent to featured gardens.

So far, we have confirmed the following vendors will be present for 2021:

    • Amorviejo Art
    • Assistance League of Santa Ana
    • Guida’s Garden & Danny’s Designs
    • Heart For Succulents
    • New Vista Academy
    • OC Organics
    • Passport, Please

Plus a few more from whom we are still gathering details.
