Interested in Being a Docent?
We are always looking for volunteers to help docent during the day of the event!
Our attendees constantly rave about Open Garden Day docents for being extremely friendly and helpful.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet visitors
- Share information about the garden (provided by homeowners)
- Answer questions about the event or neighborhood
- Count visitors (using provided click counter)
Each garden requires at least four docents. Two for the morning shift from 9 am to 1 pm, and two for the afternoon shift from 12 pm to 4 pm.
As a thank you for being a valued docent, you will have free access to tour and enjoy the gardens before or after your docent shift.
